If you send packaged goods to Germany, or sell goods on Amazon.de with packaging in any form (product or shipping package), provide your LUCID number for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Packaging category. Otherwise, Amazon will start blocking your non-compliant listings on June 15, 2022 to comply with the EPR legal requirement that comes into effect on July 1st, 2022.

I’m already registered for Packaging in Germany; how can I prove my EPR Packaging Compliance to Amazon?
If you are already registered for EPR Packaging category in Germany, submit your LUCID Registration Number on Seller Central.
Once provided on Seller Central, it may take Amazon up to 5 business days to validate the number you communicated.
Once validated by Amazon, the status next to your number will change from “Submitted” to “Valid” or “Invalid + reason for invalid”. If the status is “Valid” no further action is required from you and you can disregard these notifications. However, if the status is “Invalid”, please use the reason provided and take action (E.g.: “The provided registration number is not present on the government register”, or “The VAT or business ID and the legal name associated with this registration number do not match the information provided to Amazon”).

Note: It may take you up to four weeks to register (due to the estimation of the annual packaging volumes on which eco-fees will be paid), in addition to the five business days needed for Amazon to validate your LUCID number. We highly recommend that you start the process as soon as possible to ensure your listings aren’t blocked.
